Actress Amy Jackson today said she fell in love with Nawazuddin Siddiqui on screen after watching him in "Gangs of Wasseypur" and was initially scared to act opposite him in their upcoming film "Freaky Ali".
"I fell in love with Nawaz on screen after watching 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. So my love story starts with him from there. I was quite nervous to act alongside him. He is an excellent actor," Amy told reporters here at the trailer launch of "Freaky Ali".
"Throughout the film ('Freaky Ali') he taught me a lot of things. He is so intense. He helped me with my Hindi and how to interpret things. I have learnt a lot from him while working on 'Freaky Ali'," she said.
This is Amy's third Hindi film after "Ekk Deewana Tha" and Akshay Kumar starrer "Singh is Bliing".
In Sohail Khan's "Freaky Ali", Amy plays the love interest of the "Manjhi" actor.
On romancing in the film, Nawazuddin says, "It was freaky experience".
In "Freaky Ali", Nawazuddin is seen in a never-before-seen avatar. He plays a cricketer by passion and gangster by choice who takes on golf as a matter of chance and goes on to stun even the professionals.
The film is about how golf, considered as the game of the super elites, can be mastered by a poor layman. It will release on September 9.
