Kalra, who served the bank as its Executive Director, was entrusted additional charge of Managing Director and CEO, after the position fell vacant following superannuation of C V R Rajendran who had served the bank as its Chairman and Managing Director.
In a BSE filing today, Andhra Bank said, "The Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, New Delhi, in its order dated August 18, 2015, entrusted the additional charge of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank to Satish Kumar Kalra for a further period of three months or till the appointment of a regular MD and CEO."
