Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Prasanna Kumar Mohanty today launched the state government's eBiz portal that will serve as a single-window facility for obtaining various clearances by industries.
EBiz is one of the 32 integrated mission mode projects under the National eGovernance Plan of the GoI.
AP has been selected by the Centre as the first state for the launch of the project because of its track record in providing timely industrial clearances and the industry- friendly policies, the Chief Secretary pointed out.
"E-Biz will mark a paradigm shift in the government's approach to providing Government-to-Business services for investor and business communities in the state," Mohanty told reporters on the occasion.
EBiz would provide a secure one-stop shop for all investment and business-related information and services on a single portal and eliminate the need to physical interface with various regulatory authorities at the Central, state and local government levels.
It would also allow a single payment to be made electronically for all Central and state government clearances, Mohanty said.
In all, 13 services will be available on the eBiz portal.
The services available would be like permission for site and building from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Town and Country Planning Department, approval of plans from Factories Department, no-objection certificate from Disaster Response and Fire Services Department, industrial incentives related to power and value-added tax, registration of micro, small and medium enterprises, allotment of scarce raw materials and license for manufacturing bulk drugs and formulations.
"We have now launched the Beta version of the eBiz portal to obtain feedback from industry bodies and also familiarise officials of various departments. Once the familiarisation is complete, all the 13 services will be made available to general public from March 1," Mohanty said.
Union Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion Joint Secretary Talleen Kumar, AP Industries Principal Secretary K Pradeep Chandra, Industries Commissioner Rajat Kumar and other officials were present on the occasion.
