Andhra leader condemns vandalism of statues of Indira, Rajiv

Andhra Congress leader KVP Ramachandra Rao today condemned the vandalism of statues of Indira and Rajiv Gandhi in Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.
"Indiraji and Rajivji sacrificed their lives for the country. Destruction of statues of these great leaders are shocking and atrocious. Every responsible citizen should condemn this heinous act," Rao said in a statement.
He appealed to the agitating people in Andhra and Rayalaseema not to be misled by people with vested political interests.
Rao, who submitted resignation as a Rajya Sabha MP protesting against decision to form a separate Telangana state, said, "We respect the feelings of the agitating people.
