West will play a romantic interest for Valerie Bertinelli's character Melanie in the TV Land series, reported E! online.
His guest appearance is scheduled to air on November 12.
Mario Lopez was previously confirmed to be appearing in the same episode.
West has most recently appeared in 'The Walking Dead' as the charismatic cannibal Gareth.
'Hot in Cleveland' has also lined up 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' star Georgia Engel and Ghostbusters star Ernie Hudson for guest roles this season.
