They insisted that the USD 20 million island is still up for sale, reported the New York Post.
The island, about 50 miles north of Manhattan in the middle of Lake Mahopac in Putnam County, is owned by Joseph and Barbara Massaro.
"I don't have any idea where that (report) came from. The family threw it out there to see if anyone was interested, and so far no (potential buyers) have (come forward)," said Donna, Joseph and Barbara's daughter, said.
