Angered by the rape of a four-year-old girl and stabbing of her grandmother, residents of Binaganj under the Chachoda police station area in the district today ransacked the premises of a local health centre.
The situation became so tense that additional force had to be summoned to Binaganj, police said.
The girl was raped when she was at home with her grandmother. Others in the family had gone out to a religious discourse.
Police have already arrested a suspect in the case.
