Annual Urs begins

The annual urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, commemorating the death anniversary of the revered Sufi saint, commenced today with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony.
The ceremony at Buland Darwaza was conducted by Gauri family from Bhilwara in the presence of a large number of Zayrines, an official said.
Religious functions in the Dargah Sharif will commence four days later after visibility of the moon.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the annual religious event in which lakhs of pilgrims from all over the country and abroad participate.
