Another arrest in senior citizen's murder

One more accused in the murder of an 80-year-old chartered accountant was nabbed in Tollygunje area tonight, taking the number of arrests in the case to two.
Police said Abhijit alias Babai was picked up from Manoharopukur Road area following interrogation of the arrested sweeper Sona Das, who worked at the slain senior citizen Ranjit Chatterjee's residence.
The two were suspected to have smothered Chatterjee to death as he was reading a newspaper in the morning hours on Wednesday.
Dacoity was stated to be the motive behind the killing allegedly by Sona, who had worked in the household for 15 years, and Babai.

The incident triggered shock waves in the city, raising questions about security of the aged people living on their own.
