It was another sultry day in the national capital with the mercury settling at 38 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal, said a MeT department official.
Humidity in the air oscillated between 45 and 85 per cent.
The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy skies for tomorrow while ruling out any possibility of rainfall.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," the official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature had risen to 37.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.
