Ansari and his wife Salma were received at the airport here by Marrakech Governor M Mohamed Moufakir.
In the evening, Ansari visited two historical spots - the 12th century Jardin du Menara Garden and the 19th century El Badia Palace.
The name Menara derives from the pavilion with its small green pyramid roof which actually means the light house.

Ansari will hold discussions in Tunis with Prime Minister Habib Essid and President Beji Caid Essebsi on a widerange of issues. He will also deliver a keynote address to the Tunisian Diplomatic Corps and leading scholars and think tanksat the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies.
