Ansari in Morocco's imperial city Marrakech

Vice President Hamid Ansari today arrived in Morocco's imperial city and popular tourist destination Marrakech after winding up his visit to the capital Rabat where met with the country's top leadership.
Ansari and his wife Salma were received at the airport here by Marrakech Governor M Mohamed Moufakir.
In the evening, Ansari visited two historical spots - the 12th century Jardin du Menara Garden and the 19th century El Badia Palace.
The name Menara derives from the pavilion with its small green pyramid roof which actually means the light house.
Earlier, India signed five MoUs with Morocco for improving cooperation in different areas, including Water Resources, TV Broadcasting and Institutional Training.
In Rabat, Ansari met Moroccan Prime Minister Abdelilah Benkirane and others including the Speakers of the two houses.
The Vice President and the Prime Minister also launched the India-Morocco Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On the second leg of his two-nation trip, Ansari will tomorrow visit Tunisia with which India has cordial relations.
"The economic cooperation between the two countries is deepening with Indian investments in phosphate sector," the Ministry of External Affairs said.
Ansari will hold discussions in Tunis with Prime Minister Habib Essid and President Beji Caid Essebsi on a widerange of issues. He will also deliver a keynote address to the Tunisian Diplomatic Corps and leading scholars and think tanksat the Tunisian Institute for Strategic Studies.
