Ahead of the new academic session, Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today said all the colleges will be asked to form committees to curb incidents of ragging.
"The instructions to curb ragging in educational institutes are already laid down. As far as my knowledge goes anti-ragging committees are already existing," Parsekar told reporters in Mapusa town.
"I will see that all the colleges form committees which are mandatory as per the law," he said adding that his government was "very serious" on the issue of ragging.
