Thehighly anticipated movie, starring Gerard Butler in the lead role, finished major filming in Toronto. Kher threw a lavish party on Saturday night for all at anItalian restaurant Sotto Sotto, a popular Toronto celebrity hotspot.
The 60-year-old "Baby" actor very carefully planned the menu as well.
The guest list included William Dafoe, Alfred Molina, child star Maxwell Jenkins, film director Mark Williams, producers AlanSiegel, Nicolas Chartier, Craig Flores, Danielle Robinson and screenplay writer-producer Bill Dubuque.
"It gave me an immense pleasure to host an exclusive dinner for a very fabulous cast and crew and my Indian culture has taught me to create lasting bonds wherever I go'," he added.
The film centres on ruthless corporate headhunter Dane Jensen (Butler), who works at Blackridge Recruiting arranging jobs for engineers. He is on his way to achieving his longtime work goal of taking over the company, when his ten-year-old son falls ill and his personal and professional priorities clash.
"Performing a scene with Maxwell Jenkins was a challenge. despite his age, the kid is such a fine actor," Kher said.
The human resources drama was a change of pace for Kher, who's been busy with his play "Mera Woh Matlab Nahi Tha" around India and globe.
The actor has previously acted in award-winning Hollywood films like"Silver Linings Playbook", "Bend It Like Beckham", "Lust,"and"Caution".
"Lust"directed by Ang Lee won the Golden Lion award in 2007. David O Russell's"Silver Linings Playbook".
