Any reference to 'Mahangar' keeps me ticking: Chandan

Wishing to take 'Kolkata' to the Czech capital, metaphorically speaking, Prague actor Chandan Roy Sanyal says Ray's favourite 'Mahanagar' remains his priority forever.
"I had turned up in Lalda's (Suman Mukhopadhyay's) Mahangar@Kolkata. I renewed my bond with this city in Anjanda's (Dutt) Ganesh Talkies both capturing the uniqueness of this city which also mainifests in Prague. I am sure they will think about me again whenever any perfect role comes my way. I will never be found wanting if it is Kolkata and its creative directors," the Kaaminey actor told PTI here.
The critically acclaimed Bollywood actor, who turns up in a techie's role in Prague who moved over to the East European mystique place from period-look Kolkata as the cross-city ambassador of love, rated Aparna Sen's Goynar Baksho as one of the most captivating films he had watched in recent times.

"One director I would love to work with is Rinadi (Aparna Sen). I liked her Parama But no, I won't say which roles of these films I would love to portray. Rather any new role, hitherto unportrayed, will keep me ticking," he said.
Describing Kolkata, which is captured in its true color and smell in Prague and its homegrown Ballygrunge band, he said "This is a city of creative designers like Abhisek Dutta and Agnimitra Paul and likewise. I am ready to be part of their projects and yes if they dress me up for any show in future."
"I will make Chandan my future show-stopper but settle for something which he has not worn so far. Something very typical about Kolkata and again which gels with his personality. I had watched him in Kaaminey and liked the greay-shaded role. Yes watching Prague will help me deciding about his wardrobe," Agnimitra said.

"I liked Swastika's performance in several films had seen. Would love to have her as my co-actor if the script requires," Chandan said at a pre-release event for Prague about actor Swastika Mukherje.

Swastika, whose role in Misar Rahasya is among much talked about characters of the anticipated film, said, "Chandan is a great actor and would love to be be his co-actor in any future project. Any good project with competent directors. There are many names. Ask them."
"After celebrating Prague in Kolkata in Rohit Bal's heritage designer-cuisine hub Veda would love to take the Mahangar@Prague to bring the two 'eastern' cities together," Chandan said.

The film, having featured city's Ballygrunge band, also stars European model-turned actor Elena Kazan.
