Andhra Pradesh government today said it has made arrangements for adequate supply of seeds and fertilisers for kharif crop this year.
The government has made arrangements for supply of 12-15 lakh quintals of seeds and placed district-wise orders, state Agriculture Minister Kanna Laxminarayana told reporters here today.
He said 10.36 lakh quintals of seeds have been made available so far in the district headquarters and seeds sales centres in mandals.
The supply of soyabean seeds appeared to be a problem as the seeds have to come from Madhya Pradesh and additional transport arrangements are being made, the minister said.
