"The government is aiming to eradicate poverty in the state. We will provide houses to the poor and people belonging to the SC and ST categories for Rs 1-1.50 lakh soon," Ramkrishnudu said at a function at AV Nagaram village in East Godavari district.
"The government will be spending Rs 5,400 crore on revised pensions in next ten months irrespective of the financial constraints it has inherited post bifurcation to create Telangana," the minister said.
He also reiterated the TDP government's promise to grant loan waiver to farmers in the state.
