The power plants would need to be linked to Coal India Ltd (CIL) and supplemented by imported coal.
The power plants would need get a Commercial Operation Date before December 31, 2016.
Tenders for these plants have been prepared as per guidelines issued by the Ministry of Power.
A Request For Qualification (RFQ) document has also been uploaded onto the websites of APTRANSCO, APSPDCL and APEPDCL websites, according to the AP State Energy Conservation Mission.
Minimum capacity of power plants has been reduced from 20 per cent (480 MW) to eight per cent (192 MW) of bid capacity, while their technical capacity stands reduced from Rs 10 crore/MW to Rs 5 crore/MW, officials said.
