Apollo launches multispecialty hospital in Nellore

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu here today inaugurated Apollo Hospital's multispecialty digitised 200-bedded Apollo Speciality Hospital (ASH).
Speaking at the inaugural function, Chairman and Founder, Apollo Group of Hospitals Prathap C Reddy said that increasing penetration of better healthcare administration in tier II cities was a key task for the group.
"While there has been tremendous progress in healthcare administration in urban areas, increasing penetration even in Tier II cities is a key task and we are very keen on realising this using all tools at our disposal. Our eICU and digitised systems will play a crucial role in transforming rural healthcare," he said.

ASH Nellore will offer advanced specialised treatment in areas of cardiology, orthopaedics, neurology, nephrology, urology, emergency and trauma care, a statement from Apollo said.
It is also equipped with eICU facility and will be able to leverage consultants across other Apollo Hospitals for remote treatment of patients in this region. And will cater to the needs of the people in Nellore, Prakasam, Kadapa and Chittoor districts.
In addition to the above mentioned amenities, the centre also boasts of a telemedicine facility -- a platform created for patients to consult with doctors located in distant locations through electronic mediums, without having to visit them.

Rajya Sabha members and veteran Telugu actor Chiranjeevi and T Subbarami Reddy were among other dignitaries present at the inaugural.
