Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Group's arm Apollo Life today joined hands with Jiyo, co-founded by wellness expert Deepak Chopra, to launch 'Apollo Jiyo' -- a personalised platfrom for health services.
The wellness platform, which initially targets the corporate sector and is a business-to-business platform, enables the employees of the firms to access experts, content, products and services on a mobile and web platform.
Commenting on the development, Apollo Hospitals Group Chairman Prathap C Reddy told PTI: This will bring an individual to arm himself to stay well physically, mentally. The wellness of India will determine the progress of India and this is step to ensure that goal."
Through this partnership "we will be able to bring global experts, products and services faster and directly to smart phones and desktops", he added.
Apollo Jiyo is all about personlisation, through this information can be personalised, Apollo Life Managing Director Upasna Kamineni said.
"At present Apollo Jiyo is B2B for now. It is a online platform. We also plan to launch the app later in the ASEAN countries," she added.
For the corporates using the app will contribute to reduce medical insurance spends and increase productivity.
"With Apollo Jiyo we will create an ecosystem, which will help people to easily participate in both prevention and treatment of chronic diseases," Jiyo Co-Founder Deepak Chopra said.
The future of medicine is personalised, preventive, participatory, process oriented and predictable, he added.
Apollo Life, wellness arm of Apollo Hospitals Group, aims to address mental, emotional, dietary, fitness-related, physical environmental issues that account for most chronic and lifestyle diseases.
