Writer Apurva Asrani, who is suffering from Bell's Palsy, says "rigorous physiotherapy" and constant support of his loved ones have restored his face.

The 39-year-old scriptwriter, who had revealed in March that he has been suffering from the condition for "almost two months", said that he is on the road to full recovery.

"4 months today since I woke up with #BellsPalsy and the right side of my face fully paralysed. I couldn't smile, I got vertigo and impaired vision. It was terrifying. Grateful that the love and support of friends and family plus rigorous physiotherapy has restored my face to near normal," Asrani wrote.

The "Shahid" scribe also shared the before and after pictures of his face.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Asrani had said he has been "unable to smile" for around two months.

"Almost two months ago, I woke up with the right side of my face completely paralysed. Fearing a stroke, I was rushed to the hospital, and after an MRI ruled that out, my condition was diagnosed as Bell's Palsy - where the facial nerve is inflamed, causing loss of muscle movement," he wrote.

Bell's Palsy is a type of facial paralysis that results in an inability to control the muscles on the affected side.
