Actor Arjun Kapoor who would be getting into the shoes of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' hosts Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, says he is not replacing anyone and dislikes that word.
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, actress Priyanka Chopra and director Rohit Shetty have hosted different seasons of the reality tv show. This time the makers have roped in Arjun as the host.
"To carry forward the legacy of such big actors is a huge thing. I hate the word replacing...I don't think I am replacing anyone. It is about continuation. It (show) is a journey and the show must go on. I am glad I am doing the show," he said.
"I feel like I am making my debut. I am excited as well as nervous," he added.
The 'Ishaqzaade' star insists for him the biggest learning while hosting the show comes from what he has watched on television as a viewer.
With this adventure reality show Arjun is entering the world of television and he thinks the medium is a great way of connecting with wider audience.
"Television is a fantastic medium. We do films and it takes years for us to connect with audience. Television allows you to reach several houses. With television we get immediate feedback, the impact and result is quick," the 30-year-old actor said.
With the show Arjun says he would show his real side of personality to audience.
"I have played intense parts with the show. I will get the opportunity to show my fun, quirky side. I am going to be myself and enjoy. I don't have any plan on how to position myself," he adds.
Arjun would like to have Akshay Kumar on the show.
"Akshay is ideal candidate. He is the Khiladi. He does amazing stunts with so much professionalism and dedication. Also I have heard he is a fun guy," he said.
The show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' is all about daredevil stunts and he says he does not have any fears.
"I would discover if I have any fears while I am on the show. There will be ups and downs on the show...There will be times when I have to be strict, motivate protect and give them calmness when doing stunts," Arjun said.
'Khatron Ke Khiladi' will go on air January next.
