Father Anil Kapoor and cousin Arjun Kapoor filled in for actress Sonam Kapoor as show stoppers for designer Masaba Gupta's Satya Paul couture collection on day three of the PCJ Delhi Couture week.
The uncle-nephew duo looked dapper in black sherwani teamed with white churidaar as they walked down the ramp amidst loud cheers from the audience.
"We are here because of Sonam. She was supposed to be here but because of some reason she could not come, so we were more than happy to come in her place," said Anil, who was last seen on the fashion runway at the recently concluded Bridal week in the capital.
For Arjun, it was a 'surreal' moment to share the stage with his superstar uncle for the first time.
"I have been a fan of this man. So it is very difficult to explain what I am feeling right now. For me sharing the same stage with him is like life coming to a full circle. When I was backstage, I could hear the crowd swelling with joy the moment he was on the ramp.
"It is a very proud moment that I can today stand at the same footing as him. It feels very surreal. I took a flight with him to come down to Delhi. I think I have spent more time with him than I have in the past few months as he was busy with his work and I have been shooting. It is a nice way to catch up with a family member," said Arjun.
Masaba, whose latest collection was titled 'Demi Couture', was happy to have the two men as her show stoppers.
"Sonam is my lucky charm and anything that comes from her is great. So it was amazing to have these two men on the ramp today.
"I have been a fan of Anil Kapoor since I was young and I loved Arjun in 'Ishaqzaade'," said Masaba.
