Two kilos of gold in the form of "arm gloves" worth about Rs 20 lakh was seized from two passengers who arrived here from Bangkok today, airport officials said.
The duo has been detained, they said.
Based on a tip-off, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials frisked the two men who arrived here by an early morning Thai Airways flight from Bangkok. The gold was found concealed in the form of arm gloves beneath their vests.
Meanwhile, a van parked near the arrival entrance area of the domestic airport caught fire early today, but the blaze was doused by airport police personnel.
