Arms, ammunition recovered in Jammu

Police today conducted a search operation in Narwal Bala area here and recovered arms and ammunition that was stolen from an outlet of a gun factor a couple of weeks ago.
"Three 12 bore short barrel guns along with 110 rounds of ammunition were today recovered from Narwal Bala area of Jammu," a policeman said.
The arms and ammunition were hidden in a sack and placed under bushes and a police team during the searches recovered them, he said.
Police had recovered over 400 rounds of ammunition from the same locality last week.
"The weapons and ammunition were stolen from an outlet of a gun factory in Trikuta Nagar area a few weeks ago," he said.
Further probe is on in the matter.
