one .9mm pistol have been seized from a village bordering Myanmar in Champhai district of Mizoram yesterday.
Champhai district SP John Laldina said today that two Myanmerese nationals, Tinzalun (38) of Vanzau and R. Khanthang (40) of Tuizang, ere arrested in this connection.
The weapons seized from Khuangphah village were worth around rupees three lakh, he said.
Police were investigating the destination of the contraband and suspected that it was meant for Chakma insurgents in Bangladesh.
