Arms smuggler held with four pistols and a magazine

An arms smuggler was today arrested with four automatic pistols and a magazine from Bihar's Munger district, a police officer said.
Acting on a tip off, the police arrested Dhirendra Singh, a native of Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district, from Banaudha bridge while he was coming from a place under Bardah police station area after purchasing four automatic pistols and a magazine from a local arms dealer, Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Kumar Sinha said.
A habitual arms smuggler, Singh used to supply illicit weapons to criminal elements in his native district, he said.
The accused man has been booked under the Arms Act, the SP said.
