The police said that criminals in the National Capital Region were procuring weapons from the arms manufacturers based in Dhar, Burhanpur and Khargone districts of Madhya Pradesh and Munger district of Bihar.
Salman is a major supplier of arms and ammunition to the criminals of Delhi-NCR, Agra, Jhansi, Orai, Jalon and Dhaulpur, the police said.
He was arrested on November 9 from Jhansi and 20 sophisticated pistols and 100 cartridges were seized from him, said PS Kushwah, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell).
For the last three years, he had been running his own inter-state gang and was supplying arms to criminals at of Rs 15,000-20,000, the police said.
