Army Jawan dies of falling tree

An Army Jawan was killed and another injured when a vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a falling tree in Panthal area on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway, a police officer said.
The Army vehicle was on its way to Udhampur from Banihal when it was hit by the falling tree which was uprooted due to shooting stones, he said.
He said the deceased has been identified as Subedar Bimlesh Yadav, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, whereas the injured has been identified as constable Ravi Shankar.
The injured was shifted to a hospital in Ramban, he said.
