M Satish Kumar, who is a soldier in the army posted in Delhi, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at about 6 am today morning by his family members, they said.
"The army jawan had come down to the city from Delhi on Feburary 7 to attend a house warning ceremony for which a housing loan had been taken. He allegedly hung himself around midnight yesterday," S R Nagar Police Station House Officer B Sudhir said.
As per preliminary information, he went into a depression due to the housing loan and resorted to the extreme step, the police officer said, adding, a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
