An armyman has been arrested for allegedly selling cheap liquor at high rates after pasting stickers of army canteen on them in Anand Parbat area of central Delhi, police said.
Lal Babu, who worked with the Military Engineering Services (MES) as a pump operator, was arrested last night by the police after a tip-off.
"Babu used to procure cheap liquor from Punjab and Haryana and then used to sell it at high rates by sticking CSD canteen and 'Not For Sale' labels on the bottles. We have also recovered large quantity of such stickers from his residence. He had also made good money in the recent elections," said a police official.
