Senior BSP leader and former minister R K Chaudhary, who visited the scene of crime along with other leaders, told reporters here that "it is the second most gruesome case of its kind in the country after the Nirbhaya case of Delhi".
Chaudhary alleged that there has been a spurt of crime against women under the Akhilesh Yadav government, saying the detailed report of the incident has been sent to party supremo Mayawati.
"There is jungleraj prevailing in the state while its ministers and police officials are busy minting money," he said.
The police has neither arrested anyone so far nor has shown promptness in investigations.. It has also shown slackness in collecting evidences from the scene of crime, Chaudhary said.
The BSP leader alleged that policemen instead of showing sensitivity kept clicking pictures from mobile phones even as the nude body was lying around, Chaudhary said.
