Art-in-Industry camp inaurugated
Press Trust of India Jamshedpur A galaxy of artists were taking part in the four-day Art-in-Industry camp 2014 here which was inaugurated by eminent artist Anjolie Ela Menon and T V Narendran, Managing Director, Tata Steel, India & SEA.
Artists like Yusuf Arrakal, Manoj Mitra, Suman Gupta, Subrata Gangopadhyay, Prithvi Soni, Madhuri Bhaduri, Ranadip Mukherjee, Somenath Maity, Susmita Banerjee, Jyoti Hattarki, Nupur Kundu, Rajat Subhra Bandopadhyay, D N Rao, Mukhtar Ahmed Sardar, Subhas Pujahari and Poonam Kishor are participating in the camp.
Art-in-Industry has been organized every year since 1943 in Jamshedpur.
Welcoming the artists and the participants, Narendran said, "Art-in-Industry is yet another initiative to strengthen and promote the traditional and contemporary art forms in the country. It will bolster the confidence of a large pool of upcoming talent."
Menon said, "Art-In-Industry is a great initiative by Tata Steel to help budding talents grow and be nurtured in the guidance of accomplished artists."
The camp will not only witness works form eminent artists but will also offer an opportunity to the students to showcase their works to the veterans of art at workshops to be conducted by Shantkumar Hattarki and Manash Ranjan Jena.
