Ashish Kumar Singh appointed as MD of SICOM

Senior bureaucrat Ashish Kumar Singh, considered close to former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, has been appointed as the Managing Director of SICOM, a premier financial institution in the state.
Singh, a 1988 batch IAS officer, was earlier posted as the Principal Secretary to Prithviraj Chavan.
Singh replaces Baldev Singh, a 1989 batch IAS officer.
Baldev Singh will now be posted as the Principal Secretary of Revenue and Forest Department.
Tukaram Mundhe, Joint Sales Tax Commissioner, Mumbai, has been posted as Solapur district Collector, a post that was lying vacant.
Sunil Patil, (State Civil Service Officer) has been posted as the CEO of Raigad Zilla Parishad, another post that was vacant.
