Ashish Shelar new chief of Mumbai BJP

BJP today appointed Ashish Shelar, a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, as the chief of its Mumbai unit.
Shelar, a lawyer by profession, was earlier group leader of the BJP in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation here.
"Ashish Shelar has been appointed as the new president of the city unit for three-year term. Anil Shirole has been appointed as the new president of Pune unit," Fadnavis told PTI.
Shelar takes over from Raj Purohit whose three-year term expired recently.
