Ashok Leyland sales grow 17 pc in October

Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland today reported a 16.68 per cent increase in total sales at 9,804 units in October as against 8,402 for the same month last year.
The sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles jumped 22.36 per cent to 7,177 units in October this year as against 5,865 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a BSE filing.
Light commercial vehicles sales were up 3.54 per cent to 2,627 units this year compared with 2,537 units in October 2014.
