ASI killed, constable injured in road accident

An assistant sub-inspector of police was killed and a constable injured in a road accident in Bihar's Purnia district today.
The Atwo were riding a motor bike to Purnia town wehn they were knocked down by a truck, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Manoj Kumar said.
The 35-year-old ASI Upendra Chaudhary died on the spot, while the constable was rushed to hospital, he said.
The ASI was posted at Jokihaat police station in neighbouring Araria district, the DSP added.
