Petitioner in the IPL spot-fixing case, Aditya Verma has written to Chief Ministers of all states with unrecognised cricket associations, urging them to ask the BCCI to implement the Justice Lodha Panel recommendations.
In his letter to the chief ministers of Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Telangana and Uttarakhand, Verma also urged them to ensure representation of the state cricket associations before the Supreme Court, which will hear on the implementation of the Lodha committee report.
"The Lodha Committee in his report has clearly said that not all states are represented on the BCCI and has recommended that each state shall be represented by a state cricket association duly recognised by the BCCI," Verma, Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) secretary, wrote.
BCCI recognises the Bihar Cricket Association and not the one Verma is attached to.
"Kindly write to the BCCI demanding implementation of the Lodha Committee Report or send your state cricket association to represent at the Supreme Court when the matter will be heard on the committee report," Verma said in the letter.
Verma, who has been fighting for the affiliation of the unrecognized CAB, had earlier also written to the chief ministers urging them to raise the issue with BCCI.
