Assam Appropriation Bill passed

The Assam assembly today passed the Assam Appropriation (No.III) Bill, 2014, granting Rs 6888 crore for defraying charges upto March 31, 2015.
The Bill was introduced in the House by Agriculture Minister Nilomoni Sendeka on behalf of Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi who holds the finance portfolio.
The amount charged on the consolidated fund was for 78 departments was passed by voice vote in the House.
