In this context, all District Transport Officers, DTO Kamrup (Metro), Enforcement; Deputy Commissioner Motor Vehicle (MV) Dima Hasao and In-charge, MV Check Gates of Srirampur, Boxirhat and Digharkhal are directed to implement the guidelines laid down by the Committee, said a government release today.
Under these guidelines, licence will be suspended for a period not less than 3 months for vehicles driving at a speed exceeding the specified limit, including red light jumping, carrying overload in goods carriages and carrying persons in goods carriages, driving vehicles under the influence of drinks and drugs, using mobile phone while driving.
