Assam Governor congratulates Assam Sahitya Sabha new president

Assam Governor P B Acharya hopes that under the leadership of Assam Sahitya Sabha new president Dr Dhrubajyoti Bora the state's apex literary body will attain greater heights of excellence and serve the people and the country with sincerity and dedication.
In a congratulatory letter to Dr Bora, the Governor said the Assam Sahitya Sabha is a strong body of great scholars, litterateurs, social leaders and reformers committed towards the promotion and development of Assamese language, literature and proliferation of Assamese tradition and culture.
Noting the Sahitya Sabha was also committed towards safeguarding the state from immigrants, Acharya expressed his hope that the literary body will continue to strive for all- round development of the language, literature and culture of the State.

Dr Bora had yesterday met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here where Acharya felicitated the new ASS president, a Governor House release said today.
