The Governor on his arrival yesterday visited Mahur and Maibang areas covering 13 constituencies where he assessed the situation on the ground and also met the Chief Executive Member, Executive Members, Members of the Autonomous Council (MAC) and various government officials responsible for implementation of central sponsored schemes.
Acharya took stock of the road development works of the area being carried out by various agencies, besides visiting the Irrigation Project at Kalachand, official sources said.

He appealed all communities to live in harmony and work together towards building a strong prosperous and healthy India.
The Governor and his wife also paid their respects at the statue of North East freedom fighter Ranima Gaidinlieu at Boro Haflong, the sources added.
