Assam received 1.3 cr tourists in three years

Assam has witnessed a total inflow of 1.3 crore tourists, including from other countries, over the past three years.
According to an official release, the state has witnessed steady rise in tourists' visits here and in the last three years, a total of 1,29,50,700 visitors came to Assam.
Out of this, the number of domestic tourists stood at 1,29,01,816 people.
The remaining 48,884 were foreign tourists from across the world, the statement said.
The government attributed the "rise in tourist inflow" to improvement in law-an-order situation, the release added.
