Bharatiya Jyotish Parishad president and astrologer Pandit K A Dubey Padmesh, while announcing this today, said women are an integral part of our society and people should understand it.

"We have decided on this step in order to bring an end to the practice of female foeticide. Women are an integral part of our society and tradition. How can parents be happy after carrying out this ghastly act?" Padmesh said.

He said astrologers from across the country will render their services for the cause.
