Leading provider of industrial productivity solutions Atlas Copco is seeking to set up a head office in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in Sweden today.
Fadnavis, who is on a three day visit to Sweden, met the President and CEO Atlas Copco, Mats Rahmstrom and the company's MD Giovanni Valent on the last day of his visit.
"The Atlas Copco Group briefed the Chief Minister on their CSR project for villagers to understand water dynamics and availability. The company also expressed that they want to expand in Maharashtra and the CM assured them all the help needed from the state government," a statement issued by the Chief Minister's office said.
As the company decides to set up its head office in Maharashtra, Fadnavis has suggested Aurangabad as the place for the new setup and also requested for setting up of a skill centre so that good employment opportunities are provided in the region.
