"I am at a loss for words. The incident must be condemned strongly. Our heads hang in shame. Strictest possible action should be taken. The incident is absolutely deplorable," party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi told reporters.
Two youths from the northeastern state of Manipur were allegedly beaten up with sticks in the Ambedkar Nagar area of south Delhi last night.
Ginkhansuan Naulak (24) and his cousin Vumsuanmung Naulak (25) were attacked by unidentified bike-borne assailant when they had gone to the market at around 8:30 P.M.
The attack yesterday comes close on the heels of the death of Nido Tania, a youth from Arunachal Pradesh, after he was allegedly assaulted by some shopkeepers in the Lajpat Nagar area.
