Kurseong Sub-Divisional Magistrate U Swaroop said the police and Food and Supply department and other concerned authorities have already been intimated about the strictures passed to the tea estate authorities who has sought a litte more time.
One of the finest tea producing tea estates in the Darjeeling hills, Jungpana tea estate is located near Mahanadi and has remained closed since July 31 with the management citing harassment and intimidation by the union.
Today was the 10th day since the estate has remained closed.
The district authorities said due to the closure of PDS outlet, plantation labourer families were facing hardships.
