He has succeeded AVM Jayant B Inamdar who superannuated yesterday.
AVM Paul was commissioned as Logistics Officer in IAF in December 1984.
An alumnus of Sainik School, Kazhakootam, Thiruvanathpuram and National Defence Academy Khadakwasla, he also studied at prestigious National Defence College, Delhi.
He held important assignment as Senior Logistics Officer of frontline fighter bases, base repair depots and staff appointments as Joint Director (trainer fleet) and Assistant Director (purchase) at Air Headquarters.
As head of materials management division at the Centre for Airborne Systems and Aircraft Development Establishment, he played a pivotal role in systems development where he enabled sourcing of systems for platforms like Airborne Early Warning Systems and important projects.
He commanded a premier logistics and supply chain unit, 31 Movement Control Unit, and was Air Officer Commanding at 26 Equipment Depot, a Defence release said.
