Condemning the dismissal of Panj Piaras by theSGPC, radical Sikh outfits today alleged that it was "engineered" by Badals to satisfy their ego.
Badals through their "proxy" have directed the SGPC executiveto commit a "blunder"completely in contrast with senior Badal's (CM Parkash Singh Badal) public posturing that "they neverinterfered in religious affairs," Dal Khalsa and SAD Panch Pardani said in a joint statement issued here.
Akali Dal and the SGPC were "highly mistakenthat Panj Piars drove their strength fromthe services or employment ofthe SGPC," it said.
The Sikh mandate was with Panj Piaras and it was the moral strength that drive Panj Piaras to issue directive to SGPC to sackthe disgraced Takhat Jathedars, the statement added.
The dismissal order would not make any difference whether Panj Piaras were in or out of SGPC services, it said.
Dal Khalsa and SAD Panch Pardani would wait for the proposed programme to be given bythe Panj Piaras for Sikh Sangat by tomorrow, the statement added.
Earlier in the day, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee dismissed four of the Panj Piaras (Sikh preachers) and declared fifth as retired.
The dismissal is seen as retaliatory, as on last Monday the Panj Piaras had asked the SGPC to remove the Jathedars of the five Takhts by January 1.
