"Just a day after Modi's rally, the Chief Minister had to hold a press conference along with his cabinet colleagues to anounce that he will hold a bigger rally.
"The urgency with which it was done shows how uncomfortable they are at the huge success of BJP prime ministerial candidate's rally," Leader of the Opposition Ajay Bhatt told reporters here.
Referring to Modi's remark at the rally that due to "political callousness" he could not do his bit for people hit by the June calamity, Bhatt said if Gujarat government's help had been accepted, bodies would not have been lying inside dilapidated structures close to Kedarnath shrine six months after the disaster.
It may be recalled that a team from Gujarat having expertise in disposal of bodies came to Dehradun soon after the calamity but had to go back as its services were not utilised.
