Reacting to this, shares of Bajaj Auto gained 7.40 per cent to settle at Rs 2,093.70 on the BSE.
In intra-day trade, shares of the company surged 7.83 per cent to Rs 2,102.05.
At the NSE, the stock moved up by 7.14 per cent to end at Rs 2,087.90.
Following the rally in the stock, the company's market value gained Rs 4,175.77 crore to Rs 60,584.77 crore.
Bajaj Auto Ltd today reported one per cent increase in total sales in April at 3,36,274 units as against 3,31,529 units in the same month last year.
Commercial vehicles sales during the month were at 50,483 units as compared to 31,893 units in the year-ago month, a growth of 58 per cent, it added.
Exports in April this year stood at 1,61,598 units as against 1,50,714 units in the same month last year, up 7 per cent, the company said.
Meanwhile, in the stock market the BSE 30-share Sensex ended at 27,490.59, up 479.28 points.
